"I wet you!"

I really like it when daddy cooks on the BBQ because I get to go outside and play with the hose. These are pictures of the first time I had fun with water. Here I'm making my own lake.

I'm cleaning the chair.

It needs a good shower.

My red chair needs a shower too.

I would also chase daddy and say, "I wet you!"
We tried to post a video of that but they were all too big.

Bowen Island (the rest of the trip)...

After all the excitement at our arrival, things calmed down and we had a good weekend. I got to try out my new chair.
We had good food!

We celebrated mummy's birthday!

I got to help open the presents.

Mummy's new gardening stool.

I played ping pong with daddy. I let him win a few times.

We also went to the beach and I had fun playing in the ocean but we forgot to take the camera with us.

Mother Nature's Surprise...

(Elsie gave mummy permission to write this entry)
We spent the past weekend at the family cabin on Bowen Island. Elsie and I arrived on Friday afternoon and as I walked into the living room I glanced out the sliding door to the deck. My brain knew immediately that something wasn't right but it took a few seconds of processing to realize...

...that normally the table isn't upside down on the railing of the deck.

My first thought was that Nancy and Barney had needed it out of the way for some reason. (I found out later they hadn't made it up the previous week.) So I stepped outside to take a closer look and...

discovered this!

The deck was covered in tree debris. Then I looked up...

A branch had fallen on the roof and broken in three. Most of it was on the roof, part of it was on the deck and a small piece of it was on the ground below the deck. I went back inside to call my mom but then thought about the umbrella...

It was still attached!

The table landed on the hose, which is wrapped around the railing, and I think that is what held it there.

This picture is taken from down below.

This table truly is indestructible !

This is the branch that came off the roof. Almost twice the size of John (6'2").

Beyond Hope to Hell's Gate...

We were going to spend Canada Day hiking the Othello tunnels but we zigged when we should have zagged and we ended up at Hell's Gate instead. No matter, it was still fun! This is daddy and I on the Tram. It was pretty crowded, so mummy could only get portions of our heads.
They must have Giants living on this side of the Fraser. Apparently my grandfather Thompson grew up on this side of the Fraser and he is very tall, so we might have giant blood in us.

The real one is a little bigger.

That's where we came from.

Passing trams.

Hell's gate. There is a story to go with this name but I wasn't really paying attention, so you might as well google it.

Salmon!

The Rocky Mountaineer

Part of the suspension bridge.

Lots to see.

This is how they used to get past Hell's Gate.

The view from one side of the bridge.

The other side.

On the bridge.

My very first ice cream cone!

Strawberry...yummy!

The car started to make a funny noise, so I thought I would check it out.

P.S...

I almost forgot, another sign of summer is that mummy keeps locking her keys in the car! :)

Summer begins...

The weather has been getting warmer so that must mean that summer is coming. We also had Granny's birthday, another indication that summer is near.
I got a little confused when we had chocolate fondue because that is usually just before school starts but apparently it can also be for the end of the school year.

Chocolate...yum!!!

Marshmallows...yum!

Grandpa Hall brought me a bus shirt from Argentina.

We made a quick trip to the Temple over the new Golden Ears bridge. I couldn't decide which sunglasses to wear for the occasion...blue?

or white?

The Temple is looking pretty good!

This is my very first Dilly Bar.

It's quite delicious!

...and a little messy!

I also got a purple balloon at DQ!

It's definitely summer...mummy made jam!!!
