Snow Day 2011 (x2)

We were promised a lot of snow this winter and it didn't materialize (much to daddy, the snow Grinch's pleasure).  Mummy and I were disappointed, so yesterday we went out even though there was very little snow because it might have been the last it.

The sleigh worked pretty well even with just a dusting of snow.

It was cold out!

Low and behold, I woke up in the morning to a wonderful surprise.  It had snowed all night.  There was lots of snow and church was cancelled.

This is Clara in the snowsuit I wore my first winter.  She is almost 5 months old and it is a little big.

(Elsie - Dec 2007)
I was about 7 months old and it was almost too small.

Clara and I went for a sleigh ride.  We even tipped over and mummy and daddy didn't notice right away.  Clara was a good sport and didn't even cry...right away!

Mummy and I made a snowman while daddy shoveled with his power shovel.  Too bad we didn't get a picture of it.  It was pretty cool to see the snow flying in the air.

We finally got to use the snowman accessories we received for Christmas.

Daddy and I also made a snowman, with some other accessories, these are lights.

Our two snowmen.

You can kind of see the lights shining, it would be better at night but he might not last until tonight.  There is something very familiar about this snowman...

Oh yeah...he looks like these cookies!

We gave this guy arms!

Daddy and I went for a walk to Hyde Creek.

The crib....

About a month ago, Daddy helped me put my crib together so I could let Clara use it.  Daddy is a good helper.
This is Clara and I after the crib is all together.

Clara likes the crib.  Mummy said that I didn't like the crib.

Clara looks so little in the crib.

I took this picture all by myself!!

Happy New Year!

On New Year's Eve, we went to Bright Nights at Stanley Park.  We all love trains, so it was lots of fun!
This was the train just before us.  This year's decorations had a very Canadian theme, something from every Province and all the music was by Canadian artists (or so mummy said).

It was a little cold waiting in line but Clara didn't mind and she slept.

I waited very patiently!!!

Finally we were at the front of the line.

Clara woke up just in time!

Mummy and Clara on the train.

Me!  I guess daddy had the camera this time, usually it's mummy that isn't in the pictures.

Some of the lights on the water.

Maple leaf for the Canadian theme.

Bright Nights is a fundraiser for the burn unit, so there are always lots of firefighters around.

Me as Clara from the Nutcracker.

Clara as Clara!

Me again!

Daddy and I dancing.

More Canadian themed lights.
After Stanley Park, we went to The old Spaghetti Factory in Gastown.  We had a long wait but both Clara and I were very patient but mummy says next year we will make reservations.
