We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo....

How about you, you, you;

You can come too, too, too;

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo.

Last year we went to Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo on Oct. 1st and we were wearing shorts. This year we went on September 30th and we were wearing our jackets.

These are gorillas that you can't see very well.

New baby cousin...

Rolley Lake...

On Labour day when everyone else was heading home from vacation we headed to Rolley Lake for a few days of camping. It was my very first camping trip and I think once I dry out, I'll be ready again next year for more camping.

Daddy is getting ready to set up the tunnel (mummy and daddy call it a tent)

Me in my tunnel.

Daddy finishing up the fly on the tunnel. I don't normally like flies but this was a good one. (This is what mummy calls foreshadowing).

I'm helping daddy build a fire to roast marshmallows.

I want to go for a walk!!!

It looks like rain so we're getting the tarps ready.

The fire didn't mind the rain too much.

It's wet out!

Our shelter from the rain.

Breakfast in the rain shelter.

Snack time in the rain shelter.

Daddy standing in the rain keeping the fire going.

More rain shelter snacks.

It did eventually stop raining and we went for a hike to the lake but the next morning we had to leave. I'm helping daddy get the air out of the mattress.

It was really fun!

Waiting for mummy and daddy to pack up.

It's been a fun three days.

This was my colouring desk.

Summer misadventures...

I had a lot of fun this summer and learned many new things.I discovered that I like eating crayons a lot!

I like sprinklers and hoses.

I became an underwear model...

and a tattoo artist.

Markers go on your skin so well.

I'm learning to use the potty...

and get marshmallows for my efforts.

I can put furniture together that mummy took apart.

I can garden in the house!!!

Summer '09 has been the best yet!!!

Way back in July, mummy signed me up for something called Sporty 2's. We got together with a bunch of kids at a park and played different sports. I had a lot of fun. Here are some videos. Of course I usually did better when mummy was beside me encouraging me but this day she was filming, so I was more interested in watching everybody else.

Finally...

On our second trip to Bowen, I was finally able to get in the pool.

This is also my first time in a deep pool with water wings instead of a life jacket.
