40???...Really?

Elsie and Clara seemed to have abandoned this blog so I am going to reclaim it at least temporarily.  Last month I turned...dare I say it...40. I decided I wanted to go away as a family to celebrate and since Disneyland and Hawaii weren't in the cards, we went camping.

The morning before my birthday, the day we left, Elsie made me breakfast in bed.

With all her favourites.

Clara slept through the whole breakfast!

All week the weather forecast was good but we should have known because it always rains when we camp!

This year we are much better prepared with a new bigger tent so when we are stuck inside we're not all squished.

 We also have a new air mattress that turns into a couch.

It can be a king or two twins or an elevated twin or a couch!!!



Our screen tent is more of a rain shelter since there are rarely any bugs out when it rains.

Camping is still fun even in the rain...

We didn't have to go far to find our own lake...

Birthday x3 (or cubed?)...

This year we were leaving on a trip to Utah the day before my birthday, so we celebrated THREE times!  First before we left, we had a family party.

This is the beautiful princess castle cake my mummy made for me. 
The theme for my party was princesses, dinosaurs and trains!

I dressed up in my favourite Tinkerbell costume!

We had train sandwiches.

I got a new bike!

I received lots of nice gifts!

We were in Seattle on my actual birthday and we went to the ZOO!

Mummy and daddy gave me a Super Hero costume for my birthday.

We rode the carousel and the nice lady gave me an extra ride because it was my birthday.

There were dinosaurs at the zoo!

We had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. Yum!

We had a good day and we stayed at my favourite hotel.

This year I also wanted to celebrate my birthday with my friends.  So I had a Pirate Party!

We all got eye patches.

Captain No-beard took us on a pirate adventure to find treasure.

We found the treasure chest but it was hard to get into it to get our booty!

Clara had fun!

We also got a little wet.

I received some more nice presents.

We had pirate cupcakes (of which this is the only picture apparently).

We had lots of FUN!!!
