Last Streetcar ride of the Season...

We went to visit daddy at the DHR again but it was the last time for this year and because of the Olympics we don't know if it will run next year.

This is the man that taught daddy how to drive the train.

This is how you do it mommy!

We like to share our hats!

Mommy and I went for a walk on Granville Island. Mommy did some Christmas shopping but wouldn't show me what she bought.

Some of these geese must be the babies we saw back in May.

Stairway to ....

Mommy says I have many talents (I wonder if those are the same things that Bro Easthope talked about burying???)and one of them is climbing stairs. I'm very good at it.

Woodland Park Zoo...

Daddy took two whole weeks off just to spend time with me. I was very excited!! We went to Seattle and visited the Temple and The Zoo.
Mommy and I just inside the gate of the Zoo.
Some animals were in cages and some were not in cages but they all seemed to be sleeping. Daddy and I were riding on this hippo that wasn't in a cage. The hippos in the cage were under water but just as still as this one.

The flamingos were wide awake and very pretty!

Another animal out of his cage and not as soft as I thought he would be.

Those lions look much softer.

For some reason the pictures are out of order...Blogger must be having issues mommy said.

I was trying to get off the horse but mommy kept telling me to wait a minute. Finally I realised why she wanted me to stay on the horse when everything started spinning.

Four monkeys says mommy but I only see two. Well, I guess daddy could be a monkey; I've only known him just over a year.

More monkeys.

BALL!!!

These are out of order too...but now the Carousel is spinning.

It went around for a long time, so I tried to get off again. Mommy didn't want me to get off but finally she let me move to another horse.

We saw more monkeys as we were leaving and these monkeys live outside the zoo. I wonder if they go in for lunch?

The Adventures of Mommy and Elsie...

Today was a very interesting day! We were getting ready to walk out the door to go to storytime when mommy heard water trickling in the basement and that apparently isn't a good thing. Mommy called Granny at Kirkland Metal Shop (the family water heater business), and Granny said they could send someone tomorrow. Off we went to story time, it was fun and I got a book from the library (see it in the picture). When we came home, we had lunch and I fell asleep for my nap. It seemed like I hadn't been asleep very long when we heard the doorbell, so even though I was still a little tired, I decided to wake up from my nap. Since I was up we headed to the grocery store and we shopped, we got bonus points even, we put the groceries in the car, grabbed the keys, locked the car and went to put the cart back. We get back to the car and mommy looks at the keys and notices that the car key isn't there! Uh oh! The diaper bag, wallet, and cell phone are also in the car with the car key. I tried using my key but mommy said it wouldn't work because it is for the mailbox. We went back in to Save-on and asked to use the phone, the lady helping us couldn't find BCAA in the phone book eventually we found it listed under British Columbia Automobile Association. Mommy said the lady on the phone said it could be 45 minutes, so we go outside to try and find some shade because it is about 27 celsius. Mommy said that we were very lucky that BCAA showed up in 20 minutes. We found the keys under the grocery bags and we came home. After we got home, daddy called to say he had missed the first train, so the dinner we have to cook without hot water will be later tonight than usual. Mommy says good thing our Family Home Evenings are usually only 10 minutes long and no bath for me tonight, so everything will work out! I'm tired so I might even go to bed early!!!

More Hats....

As I mentioned in the previous post, I love hats!!! This is my current favourite (a.k.a. mommy's strawberry shaped colander). It is a very pretty shade of red and it fits on my head just perfectly.
See!
I like to wear it while I eat lunch.
Yummy yogurt!
I'm getting quite good at using this thing mommy calls a spoon.
What d'ya mean it's all supposed to end up in my tummy?

I also love wearing my helmet. We were playing outside and I told mommy that I wanted to keep my helmet on while I ate my lunch. She just sighed and shook her head.

This is my new Minnie Mouse hat that I mentioned in the last post. Mommy bought it one size too big hoping it will last a little while.
It has a pretty bow on one side and a picture of Minnie on the other side.

There's Minnie.
